About the program:

A Bachelor of Digital Arts program has been introduced at the Faculty of Fine Arts / Yarmouk University, noting that the plan for this program depends on the applied side with (132) credit hours under the title of Digital Arts / Digital Audio Production, and a Bachelor of Digital Arts / Digital Film Production.

The importance of the program:

The Faculty of Fine Arts / Yarmouk University is the first to develop such a program in order to supply the local and Arab market with technicians specialized in this field.

Program Goals:

1. Creating a generation of highly skilled and professional technicians in the fields of filmmaking and digital audio production.

2. Preparing a generation capable of producing innovative works of art.

3. Providing competencies in the field of digital arts to meet the needs in the local and regional market.

4. Preparing graduates who are able to add to scientific knowledge and applied practical skills in the field of digital audio and video production.

Learning Outcomes:

1. The student will be introduced to state-of-the-art software used in filmmaking and sound production.

2. The student will be introduced to the basics of digital production and processing of films and sound.

3. The student understands the basics of the technical interrelationship between image and sound in the field of modern media industry.

4. Analyzes films, sound effects and accompanying soundtrack.

5. Able to objectively critique films in relation to the accompanying audio line.

6. Able to objectively critique musical works in terms of the quality of their recording, production, and treatment.

7. Develop methods of using programs for film and music production in processing and shaping various musical works.

8. To be able to record digitally for vocals, orchestral and popular musical instruments in recording studios and live concerts professionally and qualitatively.

9. To be able to professionally and technically process, combine and apply recorded and electronic sounds and use the sound effects available in various software.

The Bachelor of Digital Arts program seeks to prepare a conscious and educated generation, and to produce a generation of technicians specialized in the field of digital arts. Therefore, this program is based on practical courses more than theoretical ones.
