The Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yarmouk University is one of the leading departments in the field of art education in Jordan. It aims to prepare and qualify specialized cadres in art education, possessing the academic and technical skills necessary to contribute to the development of art education and artistic culture in society. The department offers an integrated study program that combines theoretical and applied aspects. Students are introduced to the foundations of art education and pedagogical theories, along with practical skills in various fields such as painting, sculpture, design, crafts, drama, music, and others. The department also seeks to develop students' creative and critical thinking and equip them with the skills that qualify them to teach in educational institutions or work in various art fields. The Department of Art Education works to achieve integration between academic education and practical practice by providing specialized laboratories and studios, in addition to workshops and art galleries that display student works. The department actively participates in local and international art activities, enhancing students' experiences and enabling them to interact with the wider art community.
