Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Ali Al-Rubaat, and the Head of the Department of Design and Applied Arts, Dr. Khosrov Tev, the Department of Design and Applied Arts organized a specialized awareness workshop on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, titled "Mental Health in the Age of Anxiety." The workshop was presented by Dr. Firas Al-Jabour from the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology, with the attendance and participation of students from the department.
This workshop falls within the college's commitment to creating a balanced learning environment that addresses students' psychological well-being alongside academic achievement. It focused on the psychological challenges faced by young people amidst the fast-paced lives and pressures of study and work. It also presented practical strategies for managing anxiety and dealing with it in healthy ways that contribute to enhancing psychological resilience and emotional balance.
The meeting witnessed remarkable interaction from the students, who shared their experiences and questions, giving the workshop an open dialogue and providing a safe and supportive environment for discussion. The Department of Design and Applied Arts emphasizes the importance of these unique meetings, which contribute to raising students' psychological awareness and helping them develop life skills that will make their university experience more stable and positive.
