
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Ali Al-Rabiat, received a delegation from the BTEC (British Technical and Vocational Training Corporation) program in Art and Design, comprised of 30 female students from Aisha Bint Abi Bakr Secondary School for Girls in the Irbid Governorate, accompanied by their teachers.
In his welcoming remarks, Professor Al-Rabiat emphasized the vital role of the Faculty of Fine Arts in enhancing students' skills and raising the standards of vocational and technical education in this crucial sector.
He presented on the importance of art and design in human life and their positive impact on society, explaining that the students' choice of this specialization is a conscious step towards a promising future. He described it as a pivotal stage in the history of education in Jordan and a cornerstone in establishing a culture of innovation and beauty across various fields.
He encouraged the students to strive for excellence and persevere in their studies, affirming that the Faculty of Fine Arts provides a fertile environment for nurturing talent and developing creative abilities in various artistic disciplines, enabling them to make a distinguished professional mark in the job market in the future.
Al-Rabeeat emphasized that Yarmouk University places great importance on developing technical and applied education, recognizing its crucial role in meeting the demands of the modern era and the evolving job market. He added that the university, particularly the Faculty of Fine Arts, strives to solidify a practical and applied learning approach and cultivate students' artistic and technical skills, aligning with national trends in promoting vocational education and the university's vision of preparing a generation academically and practically qualified, capable of seamlessly integrating into the local and regional job markets.
On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation was accompanied by the Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Mohammed Salem, on an extensive tour of the faculty's facilities. This included the studios, art laboratories, and various academic programs and specializations. The students were given the opportunity to directly observe modern teaching methods and experience university life in the fields of art and design, which broadened their academic and professional horizons and strengthened their inclination to pursue university studies in this creative discipline.
